Every time I passed these spider cake pops on the counter I couldn’t get over how creepy they really were. I tried several types of licorice for the legs and found that the absolute “creepiest” (and most delicious) was Darrell Lea Soft Eating Licorice.

I purchased Darrell Lea licorice at a local Target (North Hills/Raleigh).

Each spider is a basic cake pop dipped in chocolate and covered with chocolate sprinkles. For the legs…I cut long, thin strips of the licorice pieces and “glued” them near the top of the pops with melted chocolate.

This simple pop will offer a BIG fright! Happy Halloween!
